The Newark Yellow jackets controlled the first half of the State Championship game leading Middletown 16-0 in the first quarter, and 16-7 at half time. Middletown would come out in the Second half to take control and capture the DIAA Division 1 State Championship defeating The yellow jackets of Newark 27-23 at Delaware State University Alumni Stadium in Dover Delaware Friday Dec. 2, 2011.
