Saquan Stimpson is a Newark, Delaware-based freelance photographer from Bronx, New York. He specializes in photojournalism, events and commercial work. A photojournalist by training, he has since shifted his sights to sports; combining a keen interest in action and working with people with lessons learned from years of experience in the ever-changing, unpredictable world of photographing athletes and the games they play. His ability to adapt to fluid situations—including unfamiliar locations, cantankerous subjects, rapidly-changing conditions, or neurotic handlers and publicists (or most often, a combination thereof) — has earned him the trust of editors.

By being innovative and standing on the shoulders of those that have come before through intense study, Saquan takes the artisan's approach, choosing the best tools for the moment and creating something eternal.  While on assignment, he blends in and avoids directing the action, thus capturing splendor and authenticity as they unfold. Saquan’s work displays his conviction that there is beauty in the unscripted and that the truth of the moment is lost when the photographer intervenes.
